Each year, Rhizome hosts close to 200 community events in our space. These have included film screenings, art markets, panel discussions, music and poetry performances, live theater, games nights and more. We host events on almost all Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.

Our legal capacity is 70 people. Events organizers can make use of our stage lighting, PA system, and other audio-visual equipment including our LCD projector and screen.

For accessibility information, click here for the results of an accessibility audit conducted by the Radical Access Mapping Project.

A meeting room for the community

At the front of the café, we have an area that can be separated from the main space and used for meetings, workshops, and classes. It seats about 20 people, and has tables, chairs, a fold-down counter, a dry erase board, and power outlets. The tables and chairs can be rearranged or removed. The room is separate from the main space, but isn't sound-proof or completely private. People will be able to peek in through the windows, and when using the room you'll be aware that you're in a busy, but comfortable, cafĂ©.  >> find out more
